As expected, the Pelicans have reached an extension with Anthony Davis, by handing out the largest contract in NBA history at 5-years, $145 million.
New Orleans star Anthony Davis has agreed to a five-year, $145 million maximum contract extension, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

The deal will start in 2016-2017, when Davis’ rookie contract runs out, and he’ll be locked up in New Orleans until at least 2021.

The 5th and final year is actually a player option, so AD could end up being a free agent in 2020, depending on what happens.
