Business Insider released an article of the 50 most dominant athletes alive, and in the top spot was not somebody you’d expect.
UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey received the honors, over the likes of LeBron James and Floyd Mayweather.
Here was Business Insider’s reasoning:
‘No athlete is the best in their sport by a wider margin than Rousey. Her two wins in the past year have lasted an average of 15 seconds. The UFC made her its first female fighter ever. In her five UFC fights, only one opponent has made it out of the first round without getting knocked out of submission. She’s not just undefeated; she’s effectively untouched.’
Rousey is currently 11-0 with all of her wins via knockout. Her next fight will be in UFC 190 on Aug. 1, when she battles Bethe Correia.
Finishing behind Rousey was LeBron, Serena Williams, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Usain Bolt.
