A 65-year-old Russian soccer ref, who was working an amateur league game, got himself involved in something he had no business being a part of.
Nikolai Moshchev was overseeing the match that took place between two towns, Gdov, and Porkhov, Moschev’s hometown. Gdov wasn’t really happy with the idea of having a local ref, which prompted a whole bunch of fights in the first half.
Two Gdov players were ejected, which sparked hospitality throughout the field, so much so, that Moshchev called the cops. When he was informed that no cops were available, he decided to spend his halftime break getting a stun gun.
While things were generally calm in the second half, an all out brawl broke out in the final moments of the match. A couple of controversial calls made led to Gdov players swarming Moshchev on the field.
As he busted out the stun gun, one player showed off his martial arts skills and dropped kicks Moshchev right in the face.
Holy Shit! Watch it again:
Moshchev was taken to the hospital were he experienced “memory loss, nausea and dizziness.”
It seems incredible that he’s still alive after all that.
